When you search for a personalised children's book, you will find dozens of options. Most of them share a common architecture: a professional wrote a story, software inserts your child's name in the appropriate places, and a pre-drawn illustration is adjusted to match the hair colour you selected from a dropdown.
The child gets a book with their name in it. This is pleasant. It is not the same thing as a book written for them.
What "personalised" usually means
In most cases: a name. Sometimes a physical descriptor — curly hair, brown skin, tall for their age. The story was written before your child existed, and will be identical for any child with the same inputs. The character is a category child, not your child.
This works well enough. It produces a book the child enjoys. It is what the market largely offers, at prices between $20 and $45.
What Libronauts does instead
We do not have a template library. When you order a book, the AI writes a new story — for this child, from your inputs. Their name, their age, their personality traits, their photo. The character in the story has their face because we generated the illustrations from your photo. The story has their personality because that's what you told us.
When you're done, you have a book that did not exist before you ordered it. It could not have existed for any other child with the same name and age, because the other inputs — personality, photo, the specific combination of details you provided — are specific to yours.
